At work, standing with your arms akimbo - hands on hips - can give one a casual air of authority. This pose can also indicate a readiness for action. It can also be used to indicate impatience, frustration or even anger, especially if accompanied with heavy sighs; or even spitting and swearing depending on how cross you are.
But my tip for today is to only use this position when standing. As soon as you walk with your hands still on your hips all power is diminished, as you will now look like you are flouncing or perhaps auditioning for America’s Next Top Model.
Encourage your work colleagues by getting them to do it now. First stand arms akimbo and now all start walking. Actually now that I am doing it – what the heck! Walking like that also feels great!
As always ...use it ...don’t lose
