But drinking enough water per day can be quite an ordeal. One has to actually have to get up, go to the kitchen, get a glass, open the tap, fill the glass and then lift the glass towards your mouth....
With medical experts recommending at least 2 litres a day - it something one can easily pass on with all the schlep involved.
Well here's my tip. You will note that cats and dogs naturally just go to the bowl and drink sufficient water - so what I have done is now every time I see my dog having some water - I get up and have some too. It acts as a sort of reminder and ensures one is getting sufficient liquid intake.
The only drawbacks, so far as I can see, are my knees are getting quite sore from bending down to reach the bowl, and my tongue aches from all the lapping. Not to mention the few intense scraps I have had with Bernie as he is more than a little possessive about his little blue bowl.
After all I have done for him I ask you!
As always, use it, don't lose it
