Meeting new people at interviews or parties at work or home can be quite daunting. Seeing the same people after a whole year at the office or at home can sometimes be equally so!
So how can one boost your own confidence while at the same time boosting the morale of others.
La's tip this morning is quite simple. All you need to do is get a beat box or ghetto blaster and play the track of Earth Wind and Fire’s 'September' (link below) whenever you enter a room this month.
Hit play and then remember to count to 8 before shouting, 'Ladies and Gentlemen... Please welcome ‘......... ‘ (add your own name here using Mr or Mrs or Ms and then your first and last name, like they do at wrestling matches) and shout it as loudly as possible and then march in and in time to the music.
As you confidence grows you will even start singing the lead and adding a little MC rapping and shouting things like ‘Hey everybody get up and cheer, cause guess what – I just got here…’
Try it out when entering PicknPay in SA, Tescos in the UK or your local bank. It can also work when going to bed tonight, especially if your partner or potential partner is already asleep....
You will be amazed at how confident you will feel and the response from others.
As always use it, don't lose it
