To celebrate the upload of the Eng version of P's book - 'Pierre A South African Boy' to Kindle, I decided I should bake a cake over the weekend in the shape of a book.
However this proved difficult for me as I don't know how to do that. But when have I ever let my ignorance stop me?
So just as I was about to busk it by breaking a few eggs into a sauce pan, adding flour, and smearing a sponge pan with butter like I have seen them do on TV, I realized I could have a problem later when it came to decorating as I had no icing sugar.
And there it was! Okay it was not in the shape of a book, but a caterpillar. And we all know what they turn into, so I thought it was a perfect cake metaphor.
And even better was the fact that Tesco staff had decided that as it only had one days to go before it turned into something else and would be taken off the shelf - it had been reduced from £6.50 (R91) to only £1(R14) Bargain!!
Then carefully hide what it is you want right at the back of the fridge behind a Tesco Lasagna which, of course, no one buys these days. Then come back on the expiry date and tell the manager surely it should be reduced as it only has two hours shelf life left.
If you do not have time for that, either way do look out for the reduced section for better deals when on holiday!
As always use it! Don't lose it!
